Mark Sisson explains why conducting a personal review of your wildlife photography archive can be a steep learning curve, and why you should consider the development of your photography to be an artistic process

If you have followed the world of popular music over the past 50 years or so then dependent on your generation, the phrase “Don’t Look Back” will either bring images of a Bob Dylan road-tour in the mid 1960s to you, or a classic Brit-Pop number by Oasis from the mid 1990s. I would never dream of calling myself the artistic equivalent of either of these musical icons, and even if I did, when it comes to your wildlife photography my recommendation is actually the complete and utter opposite anyway. Do look back however uncomfortable or awkward you may consider it to be, as it is a process that offers learning, pointers and potential surprises.
