I went to Baja California in the small bay of Magdalena, where every year, Grey whales (Eschrichtius robustus) come to give birds to pursue the species.
In the bay, there are many whales; some are very friendly, surfacing next to the whale-watching boats and asking to be pet.
I know it sounds strange, but believe me, it's like this, and if you don't pet them, they start to push your boat, asking for attention.
An incredible experience.
During this time, I had my underwater camera and photographed the whale underwater from the boat. I also take the occasion to shoot split shots like the one in the image. It was so good that I would return next year to see more.
