It was early Spring and the salmon weren't running yet so the local Bald Eagles were at the tide flats, feeding on the early runs of hooligan and herring. I arranged myself close to their typical flight path and waited for them to fly by. This one was leaving with a small fish and flew right by me. I had to zoom all the way out with my 100-400mm lens and pan with it to capture it. Another eagle happened to be in this frame which added to the scene.
