The white-rumped shama (Copsychus malabaricus) is a small passerine bird native to densely vegetated habitats in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.
As seen in this photograph, males are glossy black with a chestnut belly and white feathers on the rump and outer tail. This beautiful specimen was photographed at the Kuldiha wildlife sanctuary in the state of Orissa, India.
