Capturing CopperSmith Barbet was one of my dream list which become true recently.
It was an evening time where I got a call from my friend when he spotted a coppersmith barbet activity. As all photographers, I left other works and rushed to the spot. With the city traffic, it took more than 60mins for me to reach that place.
Finally I reached around 16:20Hrs and saw a glimpse of this beauty which I dreamed to capture. By the time I prepare my camera and setting on Sony a9II + 200-600mm lens he flew away.
Now it's the waiting game, I stood on the same position, maintained minimum movement as humanly possible; but he didn't return.
The clock was ticking with the light setting-out for the day. Around 17:45hrs, I spoke with-in me that I have missed this opportunity and better-luck next time.
At that movement, this fellow came back and gave me a few changes to make this photo.
I was so excited and felt happy for all the wait it turned good at the end. Each opportunity is a experience in my life and some lessons are been learnt around that, what a great time I had.
It's such a shy, beautiful bird to observe and photograph.
