Awaiting her fellow pack members, a young female Coastal Dingo lays on the cold morning's sand while resting from the night's hunt. Attentively she overlooks her surroundings while she guards the nearby den. Longingly, she stares into the horizon as her ears stay prickled and alert.
The above photo was taken during a nine-month-long project working with coastal Dingoes in northern NSW, Australia. Here, I worked directly with conservationists and locals to track a pack of 5 dingoes across the landscape to capture some of their daily behaviour. While monitoring, each Dingo was profiled accordingly to its characteristics and hierarchy. Socks, the younger female, is showcased in the image "Coastal Guardian."
