A young joey hops out of her mother’s pouch to stretch its legs during the early morning. While it carefully and curiously observes the world around, the mother thoroughly grooms the infant kangaroo. Reluctantly, it stays near its mother, who provides warmth and nutrition while the cold morning breeze brushes through the bush.
