Purple sunbird is a widely found flashy looking little bird. Due to its long curvy beak, it can reach the core of a flower where there is nectar. Advantageously, it gets some pollen (as you can see a few dots under the beak) which reaches other flowers for pollination. It was lovely to watch this thirsty sunbird getting plenty to drink from crown flowers!
