Carefully stepping out into the open, a young female Coastal Dingo emerges from the thickets surrounding her den. Curiously looking at everything, she attentively moves around while exploring her habitat and carefully sniffing all. Hungry and unsure of what to eat, she sets out to look for a food opportunity and rejoin her pack. Curiously, she attentively moves around while exploring her habitat and carefully sniffing all.
The photo above was taken during a nine-month-long project working with Coastal Dingoes in northern NSW, Australia. Here, I worked directly with conservationists and locals to track a pack of 5 dingoes across the landscape and capture their daily behaviour. While monitoring, each Dingo was profiled accordingly to its characteristics and hierarchy. This is One Sock. She is one of three siblings and the shyest out of the pack.
